Fabric Painting 101

Yes YOU Can paint fabric !
with Bluestone House ™
Chalk or Silky Patina Paints !!!

Here's how ...
#1 Choose your colour from our Amazing palette of 41 colours.
#2 Dampen the fabric you are about to paint- a spray bottle is recommended, but if you don't have one, your paint brush & a cup of water will do !
That is what I am using in the first pic.
Dampen the fabric but don't soak it.
This step opens the pours of the fabric, allowing the paint to seep into the fibers and not sit, as a layer on top.
#3 Water down you paint - I do it by eye,  it's usually 1 part water to 3 parts paint, roughly. The more water you add, the more it will soak in.
#4 Start painting !!!
I have only ever needed 1 coat, but if you find it needs more than 1 coat, slightly dampen the fabric again.
