A look back at our recent workshops!

What a summer it's been for our Painting Workshops...

As it is now September (AH!, Say it ain't so!), we thought we'd take a look back at a few of our workshops from this summer.

We've had everyone from seasoned veteran painters, to those painting furniture for the first time, and everyone in between.

Its amazing when a beginner painter gets to the distressing stage. They start sanding very conservatively, apprehensive about whether or not they want to distress the piece. Then Pam walks over, armed with the power sander and says:

"Do you mind if I get in here and just show you an example?"

The painter steps away cautiously and gives Pam free reign to distress the piece, and as Pam finishes up the section she's doing, the painter's eyes widen and they are so excited about the result. They grab that power sander and go to town on the rest of their piece, often distressing it much more than they had originally planned but also loving it more than they thought they would.

It's been amazing also how many different pieces we've had and how unique each one turned out. Everyone has different tastes and it shows in the finished products. Check out a few of our before and after pictures from throughout the summer:

We've also had some furry friends visit us this summer and we couldn't have been happier to have them!!!

Thank you everyone who has participated in this summer's Workshops, they wouldn't have been the same without each and every one of you!!

Stay tuned for upcoming Fall Workshops, but in the meantime head to Facebook to stay up to date!
